The Challenge
Rachel, a former corporate attorney, knew exactly what small law firms needed: a way to review contracts for red flags in seconds, generate standard agreements with AI, and send them for e-signature without paying DocuSign prices. The challenge was the complexity — document parsing, AI understanding of legal language, and a compliant e-signature flow.
Our Approach
We used GPT-4 with a custom legal system prompt for contract analysis, pdf-parse for document extraction, and a custom e-signature flow with audit trails. The template library covered 40+ common contract types that Rachel had pre-approved.

The Outcome
LegalEase launched with 50 law firms on a paid waitlist, processing 1,800 contracts in the first month. They reduced contract review time from 2 hours to 8 minutes per document and are on track to raise a $3M pre-Series A.
“This product would have taken a Y Combinator team 6 months to build. We had it in 3 weeks and it's better than what I expected.”
